Store Update 1.40.0 is a cosmetics-and-event update with one significant fix pending: it starts the Phantom Targets event, puts two more Volare colourways in the store, and dates the next bundle to August 18.
Phantom Targets, in two halves
Part one of the Phantom Targets event runs from this update. The second half is held back for the 1.42 update on August 18, so the event spans a fortnight rather than landing all at once.
New cosmetics
The Volare outfit picks up black and yellow variants. A Tick Hunter Set bundle is dated to August 18 rather than going live with this update.

Fixes in progress
Embark acknowledged that Queen and Matriarch stomp damage is penetrating walls and exceeding its intended range, with a fix pending rather than shipped in this update. Investigation also continues into launch error codes on PC.

Embark's cross-game promotion continues: three hours played in ARC Raiders earns the Azimuth outfit in THE FINALS, and the outfit can be worn in either game.
