    Live Update 1.39.0

Live Update 1.39.0 narrows the matchmaking playstyle estimate to fights your squad starts — defending yourself no longer counts against you — and settles the Seeker and Wolfpack Grenade damage inconsistencies. Converging Paths trinkets now stack, trinket drops are rebalanced across maps, and a long list of Dam Battlegrounds and Buried City collision bugs is cleared.

Live Update 1.39.0 is mostly corrective, and its headline change is to how the game reads you: the matchmaking playstyle estimate now only counts aggression you initiate.

    § 02

    Matchmaking reads aggression differently

Defensive PvP is excluded from the playstyle estimate while the change is being tested, so only engagements a squad starts feed its ranking. Knocking out someone who attacked you does not count toward the estimate. Where an encounter does count, its weight comes from damage dealt and raiders downed.

    § 03

    Grenades and trinkets

The damage inconsistencies on the Seeker Grenade and Wolfpack Grenade are resolved — the Seeker had been flagged as feeling weaker since 1.37.0. Trinkets from the Converging Paths project now stack the way ordinary trinkets do, and trinket drop distribution has been rebalanced across maps.

    § 04

    Map fixes

Dam Battlegrounds and Buried City took the bulk of the geometry work.

    ▸ Quick hits

    • Dam Battlegrounds: clipping issues, floating objects, holes in the landscape, and spots that trapped players
    • Buried City: collision and clipping fixes, corrected materials, a stuck spot for downed players near the overpass, and an out-of-bounds Snap Hook exploit closed
    § 05

    Cosmetics

Several sets had their customisation options corrected rather than restyled: the Blindspot Set's headset toggle now behaves, Triumph moved to Helmet Only, Scorta moved to Gauntlet Off, and Scorta's colour labels in the UI now match what the outfit actually looks like. A Dweller outfit was added to the store.

    § 06

    Audio, interface, and stability

Footsteps in water were improved, dodge rolls gained more sound variation, and cinematic ambience was adjusted. On the interface side: a localisation pass across every supported language, corrected price display above 10,000 in Japanese and Simplified Chinese, gamepad L3 working again on Ermal's item-select screen, project lists regrouped by relation, and a new start-screen background video. Two stability fixes landed — players getting stuck in the end-of-round tunnel, and a startup crash after the photosensitivity warning.

    § 07

    Known issues

Embark's own list is long. The ones most likely to affect a raid:

    ▸ Quick hits

    • Crash investigations continuing on Xbox Series S
    • Items swapping unexpectedly on the Quick Wheel
    • Dolabra, Hullcracker, and Rascal damage not registering on training dummies
    • Trigger 'Nade detonation animation failing to play
    • Weapon swap animation breaking after a vault
    • Leapers passing through ARC Turbine collision
    • Shots not registering while riding an ARC
