Why it's a name, not a login
Embark exposes no public API for inventory, quests, or stats, and “log in with Embark” isn't available to third-party sites — the boards that show live profiles ship a desktop overlay that reads your game client, which is out of scope here. So instead of a fake login, you stamp your in-game handle on this record and can share a read-only snapshot link. Progress itself stays on this device via the blueprint tracker, workshop planner, and needed items.
